I had such a wonderful stay at Palazzo Gilistro in Syracuse. The staff went above and beyond to help me with a personal situation that arose during my trip. The accommodations were lovely, with spacious rooms and a large shower. The location was perfect, just minutes away from everything in the charming town of Ortigia. I also appreciated the convenience of the lift for those times when I didn't feel like taking the stairs. The two-hour walking tour offered by the hotel was a highlight, as Mario provided fascinating insights into the local history. I loved the friendly atmosphere and the overall convenience of staying in Ortigia. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Syracuse.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel in the heart of Ortigia, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail and the overall experience truly made it feel like a boutique hotel. The rooms were beautifully furnished, with a lovely mix of old and new, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Additionally, the location couldn't be better, right in the ancient quarter of this charming historic island.
While there were no major issues during my stay, one minor improvement could be adding more sockets in the bedroom for adequate lighting. However, the hotel made up for it by providing a well-lit area outside the bathroom, which was convenient for tasks like makeup and hair drying.

Great location, spotless rooms, and friendly service. My weekend stay was absolutely amazing. The location was perfect, steps away from delicious restaurants and coffee shops. The rooms were pristine and comfortable with great attention to detail. The service was friendly and accommodating; the owner was always available to help with any needs. I especially loved the breakfast, the nearby bar served the best pastries and coffee to start a day.
Noise level was high and the safety of the room could be improved. The noise level from outside made it tough to sleep soundly.

This hotel had everything I wanted for my stay, from the amazing location in the heart of the old city to the cleanliness and facilities of the room. It was easy to get to everywhere on the island using the nearby transportation, and the breakfast at the cafe next door was superb. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating during my stay.
There was nothing I didn't like.

The breakfast on the terrace was a great start to each day, with eggs cooked exactly how we wanted them. The location was perfect, just a short walk to everything we wanted to see and do. The complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch, and the staff were so friendly and helpful.
Parking was a bit of a hassle, and we had to use a multi-story car park a little way away. the internet was a bit slow at times and kept cutting out.

Staying at this hotel was a great experience. The location was its biggest asset, being right in the heart of the old town with easy access to all major tourist sites on the island, and breakfast was conveniently located in a cafe around the corner. The rooms were well-appointed and the king-size mattress was particularly comfortable. The WiFi connection was good and the shower was of conventional size. The hotelier was gracious and apologetic about our early arrival and lack of room.
